CO2 life cycle Engineers and scientists are wasting their time pricing the frivolities of climate gurus. My advice is to explain that carbon dioxide cannot influence the climate but is a beneficial gas that helps produce all our food. At 400 parts per million (ppm) – that is, four parts per 10,000 – this minute concentration of carbon dioxide is deluged by “per cent relative humidity” (%RH): that is, unseen moisture, not rain or clouds. %RH is 500 per cent greater than carbon dioxide above deserts at midday, and more than 7000 per cent greater before a monsoon downpour.
