We encourage our Queensland members to say thank you if their local Member of State Parliament voted against the Health Legislation Amendment Bill 2019.
WHO IS MY STATE MP?
You can find your State Electorate by simply typing in your address here.
You can then use this list to find the contact details of your local State MP.
WHAT DO I SAY?
State that you’re a member of your MP’s electorate and that you would like to thank them for voting against the Health Legislation Amendment Bill 2019. Your message does not have to be long. It is wise to include your phone number and residential address so that your MP knows that you are from their electorate.
You may either call their office and leave a message with their staff or send an email or card.
If your MP is not on the following list, it means that they voted in favour of the Bill.
Two Liberal National Party MPs, Tim Nicholls (Clayfield) and Mark Robinson (Oodgeroo) were absent from the chamber at the time of the vote. However, it is assumed that they would have voted against the Bill along the lines of their party’s decision not to support the Bill.
Two Australian Labor Party MP’s, Linus Power (Stretton) and Duncan Pegg (Logan) were also absent from the chamber. It is unknown how they planned to vote.
