The pathway for the Morrison Government’s religious discrimination bill remains thorny, with MPs on all sides of politics poised to oppose it if it is perceived to be too accommodating in protecting people of faith in Australia.
Such is the antipathy towards religious belief, but especially towards the Christian faith, that any bill that seeks to prevent discrimination against people of faith will become a lightning rod for attacks against the Government.
