The Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) recently proposed changes to the Australian Curriculum. ACARA chairwoman Belinda Robinson stated that she welcomed the released proposals. “[These] revisions … aim to give our students a curriculum of excellence, which is amongst the best in the world,” Robinson said. However, many educators and commentators have responded to the proposals with criticism. The Australian public has until July 8 to have a say on the recent proposals.
