Closing the gap in discrimination legislation*

s One of the issues overtaken by the advent of covid19 in 2020 was a federal Religious Discrimination Bill.

It is now three years since the Federal Coalition promised, during the marriage debate in 2017, that once the Marriage Act amendments were voted on, the consequences for religious freedom would be dealt with by legislation. No steps have been taken to finalise and introduce a bill into parliament since December 2019.
