On media coverage
Paul Collits notes in his thought-provoking article that the media did not treat the acquittal of Archbishop Philip Wilson with the same coverage as his original conviction. That is true, but what is to be expected? Acquittals rarely do get much coverage.
Was the limited coverage a plot deployed strategically and cleverly by the critics of the Church? I suggest not, for this misunderstands the position; and, worse than that, provides the wrong platform for the Church …
