Pope Francis restricts use of extraordinary form of the mass*

On Friday, July 16, in a swift crackdown, effective immediately, Pope Francis severely restricted the resurgent traditional Latin Mass around the world. The move came in a document ironically entitled Traditionis Custodes (“Guardians of Tradition”).
